MY TREASURE July 1 /2013 Scripture reading: Matthew 13:44 The Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure that a man discovered hidden in a field. —Matthew 13:44 (NLT) My kingdom is more valuable than anything you could have or own. That’s what Jesus was illustrating when he told the parables of the man who found the treasure in the field and the merchant who came upon an exquisite pearl. When you know the value of something, you’re willing to pay anything to have it. So it is with my kingdom. Nothing you give up can begin to compare to all that I have stored up for you. My blessings are incalculable, unending, unimaginable. No price is too high. After all, the cost I paid was not measured in gold, but in blood. My only Son shed his blood so that you, my precious child, could have that treasure forever. Read Matthew 13:44–52. Father, thank you for offering your kingdom to me as a gift. Help me to recognize its value.
