MY TWO CENTS: Of course, when I was a kid, people didnt get in touch with their emotions-they just got emotional. Its odd at this time point in time in 2014 how much stock people put in emotions and opinions. The idea of rational dispassionate analysis seems lost to most Americans these days. Everything is predicated on how they feel and what their opinions are based on said feelings. What people ask me what I think? what they really mean is what I feel? Well, having been a journalist for nearly 20 years, my mind is trained to give a conclusion based on facts and evidence and lucid analysis not a whole bunch of random emotions mixed with a few statistics. Ill leave the latter to Fox News, CNN and MSNBC.
