I have [in short] become all things to all men, that I might by all means (at all costs and in any and every way) save some [by winning them to faith in Jesus Christ]. ~ I CORINTHIANS 9:22 (AMP) ~ “All of God’s people are ordinary people who have been made extraordinary by the purpose He has given them.” – Chambers The one who remembers that he/she is, in fact of “ordinary people,” will be less quick in demanding of God the specifics of their usefulness to Him. Our lives are to be laid down (lifelessly) for Christ. The extraordinary for God can only come through, once I’ve relinquished my self—my rights, my desires, my preferences at the foot of the Cross. It seems as though (as Paul would say) it is necessary for me to “die daily,” that this reality of life and service is maintained.
