MY VIEW ON BUHARI/TINUBU TICKET: The leading opposition party are the ones dividing the country on religious lines; can you imagine that they are planning to win the presidency, only on Muslim votes (North East, North West, South West, and some part of South South)? This is the poorest political strategy and one that will destroy this country for that matter! I truly hope that this will not see the light of day,if this happens, Nigeria is destroyed forever, because even if the party did not win the Presidency, there will be un-ending war between Muslims and Christians in this country. The next thing they would say is that the election was rigged, and that there must be blood shed. If the APC presents an insensitive Muslim/Muslim ticket, then the CIA prediction of perdition will certainly come true… and we will have ourselves to blame.From Belewa/Zik to even military dictatorships, Nigerians have what I call a “psychological agreement” akin to gentleman’s agreement to accommodate each other’s religion in our political dispensation, abandoning that now that the country is demarcated along ethno-religious lines is dangerous, reckless and egoistic of the proponents of such silly idea. Simply put,Christians would feel Boko Haram has won and Nigeria has become an Islamic country, consequently voting for a Christian candidate… Bottom line, after the elections, Christians will claim victory in their enclaves, Muslims will do likewise in theirs, and given that the two faiths are roughly, equally represented, a thousand run-off elections will not produce a winner…thus, the ensuing anarchy and violence will engulf the country and the entire West African sub-Region. And, the reason for the US AfriCorps… for a quick intervention and Break-up of Lord Lugard’s contraption!
