MZPN is calling on the Government to seek political consensus, taking account of the suggestions made by the Opposition, such as linking this scheme to a real investment which will create jobs rather than simply putting Maltese citizenship on sale. The Opposition is also calling on the Government to tie citizenship to a period of residence in our country and publish the names of the naturalized citizens in the Government Gazzette for public scrutiny, as has always been done.
