Ma was just thinking. She tell Pa. He tell her Wow! Another first! He say he sweat out his fever last night so he feeling more like himself even though he still not better yet. He better enough though that he can be a smart aleck! Ma was think of when she was young and had her cat name of Whisper. She not have any pictures of him on the computer but does have him in the picture albums and still has some of his furs. He was a kitten when she get him and she was a kitten too. People kitten stay kitten longer than cat kitten. I 9 and I been a cat a long time. She was 8 year old when she got him. He was a beautiful silver tabby long hair cat with white slippers and boots and look like a Norwegian Forest Cat. He was a 12 lb cat so not small but not huge like a Main Coon. Ma can still remember how soft his furs were and how she used to lay on the couch with him and look in his pretty eyes and tell him how beautiful he was. He was a feisty guy though and had a temper. He did not play soft either. He used his claws! That didnt matter to Ma. She loved him anyway. Even when she grow up and move away she always love him and visit him at her parents house. She still remember their last Christmas together. She and Pa work out of state and come home for the holidays. She know it was the last time they would spend together because he was old cat and winding down. He would only drink out of the faucet but couldnt jump any more so he would tell anyone who was around that he needed to be lifted up and now! Then when he was done drinking he would tell them that he needed to get down. She was in the bathroom tending to him when Pa came in and she still remembers telling Pa it would be their last days together. It was true. Before summer came he was gone. He was 17. He was the King of the house and trained my Ma to be a good caretaker for me. He ruled with a sharp claw and let everyone know their place. I think I a much more gentle ruler and she agree. I a lot more snuggly and sweet but Ma will always have a special place in her heart for her first King Cat, Whisper.
