MaP, nature - nurture: Alora, my lilcousins wanna learn meditation & martial arts, hay?!? Aunt said that Sophies level of attentiveness and thoughtfulness, is highly commended by her teachers. Shell remember whos been ill and ask about their recovery even after a few weeks gone by. Not as academically strong, very hard working girl, we have a potential saint on her hand, whos displayed ultra-high level of sensitivity and understanding of suffering since a young age. To nurture that loving-kindness, into a profession/life-skill that is in her nature. Jasons all Yang. Really keen to learn, especially a martial art, and a very good boy, always caring of her sister. They communicate so well with each other. His math is exceptional amongst his class, and loves science. His vocabulary is very impressive and can ask some good Google voice questions from my phone. Besides some typical 10 year old ones 😉 Remember, the ones that insist on short cuts and seem lazy.....are the real smart ones. Starting them young: - Yin Style Bagua: standing posture and Xiao-sweeping strike. But grab his attention on, this is the Ox-Tongue Palm. If your punch gets blocked, you cant reach their face. With an open hand, you can stab their eye. Oh wow! If you stab someone in their eye. Its going to hurt, make them blind and send them to hospital! If that happens, youll get into trouble, Daddy & Mummy wont be able to help you - youll get taken away! So, why do you wanna learn martial arts? Ok, hes 10 - I didnt break his.....erm?!? They aint dropped yet 😁 - meditation: how to follow the breath up and down, then counting system from 1-10. Most importantly, which they understood, we dont need to beat ourselves up if we get it wrong, lose our concentration, to start again - an important cross-over lesson for life in general! - memory skill: number-shape technique, teaching them how to learn up to 7 numbers, with association and linking system. - will teach them: number-rhyme techniques; apply techniques to remembering long lists; and also speed reading. Did a few test to assess why Sophie read so slow. I remember one thing about my prep-school: - They nurtured kids based upn their ability; - not their age: scholarship kids jumped faster through the years, to eventually sit in the advance classroom. I remember one kid was 11, and got his scholarship to Eton. In looking back, I was very good at repetition - math & Latin. - but mainly, I remember the science teacher giving me his one on one attention: something that I kinda retain until now. Although, I know Im not a kid no more.....but i have my preferences! Know thyself: - study wise, not hard; - nurture talent, allow ones nature to flow. - be good to ourselves: love thyself ❤
