Mac and I have gathered just about all the information we need about the state of the homeless and the need for food. Bozeman Montana more than anywhere I have ever seen takes very good care too feed their homeless and families in need. We have a food bank that serves the entire Gallatin Vallley. A cafe that serves free dinners 6 nights a week. Salvation Army passes out sack lunches Mon-Fri. We have a soup stand set up on Saturdays next to the local Walmart. The only real need and the niche that we plan to fill is Sunday. It seems a bit ironic that a Christian stronghold like Bozeman would be busy with worship services and church events and that those needing help would do without on a Sunday but thats the way it is. We will distribute about 50 sack lunches on as many Sundays as I am able to raise funds for. I am pretty good at fundraising so I expect we will soon be up too 52 weeks a year and we will see where we go from there. The difference with us is that we plan to take the food to the people rather than letting them come to us, also donors will be able, in fact encouraged, to participate in distribution. I feel very blessed to be able to do this and am anxious to get started. I pray we are rolling before Thanksgiving and the first big snow storm.
