MacArthur museum in Brisbane. During WW2 Douglas MacArthur placed the US Pacific command center in an insurance building in downtown Brisbane. The offices are open as a museum now, filled with info and some very cool bits and pieces. Seen here- the actual control yoke recovered from the Betty bomber carrying admiral Yamamoto, which was shot down by a long-range sortie of P-38 lightnings. Also- me happily sitting IN MACARTHURS CHAIR!!! mmb.org.au
