Maca is another wonderfully diverse root crop from the Andes, where it is grown at elevations higher than any other root crop in the world. It is somewhat similar to a radish, but has a unique spicy taste that pairs well with sweet flavors. Growth is a bit slow for low elevations, so were breeding for a faster crop and better uniformity, but we hope to introduce a superior maca for the Pacific Northwest in the next year or two.
