Macrays Seafood, Westport, MA Dolly G states: “I’ve traveled by the old Macrays Seafood numerous times and have always wanted to stop and take a peek inside. Well I finally did the other day. Pulling up to the old decrepit building brought back so many childhood memories. I remember going there with my family as a child in my dad’s beach wagon on our way home from Lincoln Park. After arriving home that day, I went on Google to see if I could find out more information about the closed landmark. Things I never knew: The restaurant was launched in 1957 by Tom “Mac” McGreevy and Ray Therien - hence the name, Macray’s. The clam shack closed in 1992, (another site states mid 80’s). A former employee of Macray’s, reopened the Restaurant in Tiverton, but then closed in 2007. Then I read that he reopened in the same building a few years ago. Are they still in business?
