Macromolecule Nucleic acid is composed of monomer called nucleotide. Nucleotide is any group of molecules when linked together will form the building blocks of life, DNA and RNA. Dna (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a genetic material. It looks like a ladder, composed of 2 strand nucleotides and contains sugar-phospate (deoxyribose sugar and phospate group) backbone and nitorgenous base complementary to each other and connected by hydrogen bond. (A to T) or Adenine (purine) to Thymine (pyramidine) and (G to C) or Guanine (purine) to Cytosine (pyramidine). The twisted part of DNA is called double helix. Note that: The leading strand has of 5 prime end and 3 prime end because of the carbon that it contains. In DNA Replication A helicase is an enzyme that unwind or unzipping the ladder or two strand of the DNA. DNA polymerase an enzyme builder. It replicates DNA molecule to actually builds new strand of DNA. Primase (initializer) dont start (or dont know when or where to begin) w/o a primer. Primer is made up of RNA. Primase makes primers so that the DNA polymerase can figure out where to go to start to work. Ligase works as a glue. It helps to connect the any fragments together.
