Madagascar 2014: Stage 5 – 77 km It’s almost done, just another 10 km tomorrow. The Long March, 77 km, has been a memorable battle, I gave everything. For the first time I have finished a Long March during daytime, finishing after 9:45 hours in 16th position completely wasted! I ran everything. The stage was beautiful but with such an effort you can’t appreciate anything. Yet many rivers destroying the feet… It is 8am when I write and people are still arriving… Today is a rest day for me but I lack food, it is hot so “rest” is “rest… Tomorrow night I am back in a normal bed and a big bloody buffé!! :-) My arm muscles are gone, must have lost them in the hot desert somewhere, so I guess I will be spotting Anna in Bishop in a few weeks :-) #adventurelist #Berghaus Photos: 4deserts
