Maddi update from her foster momma!!!! Come on and add this beauty to your home b4 the holidays! Welcome to Operation Adopt Maddi! Maddi is a beautiful 5 year old female boxer who sometimes forgets she is a DOG. She loves to sleep on MY side of the bed with her head on MY pillow when Im not in bed. When Im ready to get a good nights sleep she will graciously move over just enough for me to squeeze onto the edge then she will curl up into a ball against my stomach. She has absolutely ZERO understanding of the words dog bed. To say she is a people dog is a massive understatement. She currently lives in a house with a tween boy and 3 other dogs. She does not play with the other dogs, nor does she fight with them (despite the Shih Tzu occasionally attacking her face because he hates her), but she lives with them peacefully. Her idea of a good time is laying on the lap of a human. Maddi has mastered a highly important female skill meaning she know EXACTLY how to get what she wants. She will stare at you and whine and whine and whine until you give her what she wants, whether it be a potty break, she emptied the water bowl and wants more, or she wants to cuddle... its up to you to figure it out and give it to her! Maddi is kind of a clean freak and will not pee or poop in the house. She requires a fenced in yard where she can do her business like the lady she is. Another female trait shes mastered...only listening when she wants to. She will sit or lay down when told (she listens better when treats are involved) but she absolutely WILL NOT come to you when called if she is outside therefore a fenced yard is a must. Luckily, should she ever stray, she is microchipped so if found by the right people she can be returned. Maddi is very small for her breed and weighs only about 40 pounds. Dont let her size fool you, though. She could still put the fear of God into any stranger will ill intentions and she will alert you every time someone knocks on the door.
