Made a radio stand today for the car, so I can be mobile with the HT for the run down to the campsite in South Wales. Another chopping board sacrificed for the greater good. I made it so it wasnt going to interfere with my ability to drive, but angled so it still faces me. The antenna was from an old magmount, but I didnt like it. Decided to get a lip mount as it is more secure. Its VHF only, and Ive got a bunch of repeaters all down the M6 and south Wales programmed in already. If everyones in bed on the way down, (driving overnight Sunday/Monday), well catch them on the way back up.
