Made even more famous because of the movies, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift & Resident Evil- It would be a shame to come to Tokyo and not take a walk across the famous intersection outside Shibuya Station. So heres me as I pulled a little stunt of my own of crossing the most famous intersection in the world - the SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE CROSSING. Of all the places in Tokyo Ive visited, SHIBUYA was my favorite of all. Shibuya is the Youth Capital of Tokyo. The surrounding area is packed with shoppers, students, young couples and commuters. When the lights turn red at this busy junction, they all turn red at the same time in every direction. Traffic stops completely and pedestrians rush into the intersection from all sides, like marbles spilling out of a box. Shibuya Crossing is remarkable for its crowd of people, blazing neon lights and enormous video screens, which sometimes display live videos of the street scene below. The awesome energy of the place is enough to stop you dead in your tracks while you loudly proclaim to yourself, ‘WOW – IM IN TOKYO!’
