Made it from Adelaide to Melbourne this morning- another early a.m. muster of the Charlies Farm troops (4:45 in the lobby of the Grand Chifley Hotel) (Ill miss their scrambled eggs), and now Im chillin in Qantas lounge for a couple of hours before the Big Kangaroo takes off for LA. Im a little nervous about re-crossing the International Dateline. The IDs already cost me a day (took off November 12, arrived in Brisbane 15 hours later on November 14!). So somewhere over the vast, green, radioactive Pacific (thanks, TEPCO), Ill be reunited with November 13? Sounds like a Twilight Zone episode or maybe a Stephen Hawking brain twister. I did buy another t-shirt for daughter Marion at Duty Free & a sack of Wattleseed Tea for me & the missus. Dont know about you, but Im trying to keep my wattles at bay! Sad leaving my Charlies Farm mates- the mystical Fawn Phoenix; the alluring Allira Jaques; Charlie himself, man-mountain Nathan Jones (pssst, hes really a creampuff); Sean, our producer extraordinaire; and last but not least, Christopher Lee Sun, writer/director, visionary, Coke-a-holic (the soft drink, guys), who put us all on his back and carried us from Coolum to Maroochydore to Brisbane to Darwin to Melbourne to Adelaide to promote our indie Aussie slasher! Tip of the hat, mate, and good luck to ya.You get what film-making is all about. And thanks, all, for a rollicking good time across your great country. Looking forward to seeing you again soon for more mischief & mayhem!
