Made it to Mauritius safe and sound after saying goodbye to Cocos 14.5 days ago ;) Was our longest passage of this trip at 2330Nm and was mostly a great fast sail. Even clocked 199Nm in a day which was a Vinga PB. Ran out of luck at the end of the sail with an engine of action as well as our 2 best sails damaged including our main sail splitting almost in half. Our tow generator also broke so with a lack of electrical power we had to sail like real sailors for a while helming by hand for the last 5 days. Was actually nice for a while rather than just having the autopilot on. So looking at the charts I have now covered the best part of the Indian Ocean which is exciting. Will be about a week in Mauritius exploring and making repairs. Look forward to catching up with peeps!
