Made lots of headway on the house today. Stayed at the house for the first time last night. Slept on the couch because the bed was not made yet and it was covered with curtains and rods, and tools. Now the bed is made, the curtains in that room are up. LeAnne came and helped me add another rod to the closet so I can hang high and hang low. Soon I will move my clothes to the house. I also got my files into the file cabinet, my desk drawers are full. Got my Christmas novel collection on the shelves. Stood in line over an hour waiting to order my internet which will be hooked up on Wednesday. Last evening had some good friends come and relax with me, after we did a few things around the house. I made chili and they brought the crackers, the candy and the cake, and then we had a spot of tea. The night before that my sister-in-law came, brought some delicious chicken noodle soup, and then helped get all my canned goods on the shelves and spices alphabetized in the cupboard. Next things on the list are to break down all the boxes I have just thrown into the garage. Have to build a platform up in the corner of the garage because I just cannot get rid of the boxes. Lived my whole life with those boxes. They have been around the world with me. Dont think I will need them again but what if I do? Also will make a nook in the kitchen for hanging my pans. Need to put all of my glasses and mugs into the cupboards, and find a place for my plasticware and my vases. Getting close now. Almost done. Well, almost until I look out the window and think about all those leaves I need to deal with. It might be a good change of pace to get out there and play. Maybe if the sun shines tomorrow I will do that. And if not, after church, maybe a trip down to my Allegan storage to get my Christmas tubs and tree. Want to get them before the snow flies. Maybe I will put some Christmas lights up. Nah! Probably not. Maybe I will spend some time reading after I get back. Wow! the weekend is almost done already. Glad to have my feet up for a few minutes. Off to bed soon.
