Made sausage gravy yesterday. Was trying to explain to someone at work how to do it. I kept saying to cook the grease and flour for a couple of minutes before the milk and sausage is added. Make a rue. She kept saying, "Do you drain the juices?" WTF! What kind of juices does sausage have? It is flipping GREASE! Anything cooked well done leaves GREASE not juice. And it tastes so good in a gravy!
