Madi Rizhelle J. Saguil 16 hours ago via iOS 10.29.13 Exactly a year passed since my dad underwent open heart surgery to replace 2 severely damaged valves leading to a left sided heart failure, same day that my mom celebrated her birthday in Canada unable to come home as she was the one financing our familys hospital expenses. Truly, a great adversity of our lives, a time our faith was repeatedly tested. The night before the operation, our pastor came to pray for my dad, it was a blessing. The operation lasted 6 hours. Me, my sisters, my aunt jean and my boyfriend were just outside the Operating room of Philippine Heart Center, patiently waiting..praying that the surgey will come out successful. My mom kept calling for updates, i knew how hard it was for her to be far at that very moment. Added to my sadness, was being jobless at that time. I resigned from my previous job thinking my nursing opportunity will start anytime soon but it hadnt. But God knows what is best for all of us. Little or big sacrifices would do no harm rather often times it lead to something great. I realized, I was jobless so that I would be able to nurse for my father 24/7 because believe it or not, after the surgeon said the operation was done successfully, I received a message from the hospital that the orientation would start next week. My dad has a very fast recovery, even his doctor was amazed and said malakas ka sa Diyos. My mom went home 3 months later and we went to Boracay for a vacation. Everything was back to normal. My dad jogs everyday as he used to but of course he still has his regular checkups with his cardiologist. Everything happens for a reason and with Gods purpose. What could be a greater love than the one He has for us? This family means the world to me and I love them so much! — with Ming Javier Saguil and 6 others. That year was really hard for our family & i thank God we were able to surpass it with Dads heart surgery being a success! Yes everything happened for a reason ... I gave up my part time job 3 months later which i was doing for more than four years because the agency was requiring us to obtain a business license...whew! What for? So I quit that part time job, i realized later, God gave me that job to save more for Dads surgery.... It was too stressful for me doing that job every single night for 2 hrs winter , spring, summer or fall after my day regular work but i held on with Gods love & guidance... I love you my family! 16 hours ago via mobile · Edited · Unlike · 6 Madi Rizhelle J. Saguil Aww love you mom! Minsan di na ntin kailangan alamin kung bkit.. God works for us. Love u ma!
