============================== Madison Forecast ============================== WISC Forecast Following the passage of a winter storm, an arctic cold front is sweeping through the Midwest. Snow showers and flurries will end later this evening, but high winds will cause blowing and drifting snow that could briefly lead to whiteout conditions, especially in rural areas to the south and west of Madison. As skies turn partly cloudy, temperatures will nosedive, and it will become dangerously cold. Temperatures will drop to the mid teens below zero by Monday morning, but with strong winds continuing, wind chills will reach -30 to -45. Monday will be mostly sunny, but the highs will only top out around -10 and wind chills will remain between -25 and -35. Tuesday will start out even colder, with lows near -20 and wind chills once again from -30 to -45. Tuesday will be mostly sunny again, but once again, highs will remain below zero with wind chills as cold as -25. Wednesday will be partly sunny and windy, but those winds will be out of the southwest, leading to a quick warm up from lows once again in the mid teens below zero with wind chills as cold as -35. Highs Wednesday afternoon will reach the lower to middle teens. On Thursday, there is a chance for snow showers, mainly in the morning with highs reaching the middle teens. Friday will be partly sunny and cold with highs in the middle teens as well. By next weekend, a storm passing to our south may bring some light snow from late Friday night into Saturday morning.
