Madni slip puts Plumtree in pole: The race for the title in the Newark Alliance took a decisive swing this weekend as Madni missed their chance to keep up the pressure on reigning champions Plumtree. Madni entertained PCCC and the home side were indebted to brilliant century from Naeem Ahmed to help them get anywhere near a competitive total (203-7). In reply PCCC had their own batting hero to thank in the shape of opener Shahid Mohammed whos century kept PCCC in with a chance of pulling off an upset. Wides and no-balls werent helping the Madni cause and in a very tense finish Muhammed Ishtiaq (18*) got PCCC over the line with 3 balls to spare. Plumtree had a less taxing afternoon as they cruised to a ten wicket win at Radcliffe-On-Trent (141). Joseph dlvr.it/3xlR5w
