Mafakose High 3 was the place to be yesterday, the energy there - TopicsExpress

Mafakose High 3 was the place to be yesterday, the energy there was just contagious it was hard not to join the cheer squad. As usual the colts kick started the event and although they lost to their opponents it wasnt a big of a deal to them because all they wanted was to wear the uniform, kick the ball and enjoy the after the match treats (vana vadiki dzinenge pwere). The U13 took to the field and during the 1st half it was Captain Kadiki who led his troops to the battle field. The Kadiki, Guava combo did shine, they gave their opponents a run for their money. Guava as usual was showing off skills that he picked from the just ended World Cup and Kadiki was helping in pushing forward, its a pity the ball did not see the back of the net. 2nd half came and this time there was a new Captain, am guessing Kadiki had failed his troops so he decided to pass on the title to Zhobha. He tried his best but our defense was lanky and Beaven (the keeper) tried his best. Tekos boys came in and as usual they shined!!! The U15 team is just impressive, the little boys, Mabhingo and Tino were on fire. Jaure outshined all the other defenders, when he felt like the strikers were not doing their best he would go and attack. The short boys were just coming from nowhere and stealing the ball from their opponents. At one point Mudzengereres boys could be heard arguing amongst themselves because Tekos troops made them run. It was an interesting match that for once the coach didnt have anything to say during half-time because thats how good they are. Although they lost they felt like the victors because at one point they were playing chomza and it did frustrate the opposition. We all know kuti nyaya iyi haimbofi yakapera mughetto. The big boys as usual played the final game, the battle for the Captains band has finally ended! Tafadzwa Juvhe Jera is the new Captain, he took over from Toby who according to the coach was given the title but loved sharing it with whole team. Poor lad, akazviruza. Bless came back so you can imagine what went down. The 1st half was epic n this reporter was the one coaching the team, Mazano scored and so did Bvunene. Yeah Bvunene scored, i achieved what some people thought was the impossible lol. Those who are familiar with the team know that when Juvhe is in-charge great things are bound to happen and oh they did. When the real coach came back the boys couldnt display the wonders they had shown during the 1st half, he only saw the penalty kick the little boys couldnt stop talking about. The U17 won and oh they did get a round of applause from everyone present 90minutes dzakapera zvekumhanya.
