Magnifique ~ I have found the proper training of horses and proper training of dogs to run parallel to one another. In my 45 years as a certified animal person, Ive seen horses that were broken literally and figuratively, dogs that have been handled and trained in a non force, positive fashion. Matthew Failor told me that his relationship with his dogs is one of an equal playing field, a coach to the team members. As so it should be in my opinion. What I liked the most about this rider, was her soft hands, stead thigh and non ridged heels. The horse collects up under her softly but powerfully - all trained through core exercises over and over, not grabbed up by the mouth and forced to tuck that head under. This magnificent specimen follows that bit down during extended gaits, and at the end when exiting the Dressage arena - watch how his head just goes right down, stretching out those long and strong back muscles - because he LIKES the bit. It hasnt been jammed around in his sensitive mouth. Their symbiosis and bond is palpable - you only get that when you LISTEN to your dog or horse, and respond with positive energy.
