Mahatma Gandhi once said, Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from an indomitable will. Well, needless to say, I completely agree. Losing my baby has been the most painful experience that I ever had to endure. He was my baby boy, not just a pet. I spent 5 long years with him and he was there through all of my good times and bad times, never for even one second, losing his loyalty or love for me. After days and days of stuffing my face with food, crying until my eyes were swollen and wanting to just not involve myself in anything...I realized I needed to snap out of it. I know Winston wouldnt want to see me this way. I still remember how he would look at me when he would see me sad and how he would just cuddle up to me until I felt better. I was seriously so close to not competing in this upcoming pageant. I didnt think Id have the heart or strength to do it anymore. But, after giving it some thought, I changed my mind. I will go through with this. I will not quit. I will not let even the most devastating of circumstances hinder me from doing what I promised myself I would do. Im going to do it for my baby. And Im going to make sure hes looking down from Heaven super proud of his mommy.
