Mahesh Murthys article recently had mentioned that the Flipkart co-founders would together hold about 25% equity in the company. Now with the $1 billion funding and reports saying they now hold 15%, the new investment seems to have come at about 40% equity taking Flipkarts post-money valuation to $2.5 billion, i.e 15,000 crores and the combined net worth of the Bansals to 2,250 crores. A business that was started 7 years back and the co-founders each with a net worth of 1000crore+ is phenomenal.
