Mai Dambudzo Musekicheni Masarira has passed on in Masarira village, Mberengwa. She was wife to the late Musekicheni Masarira, the eldest son of the late grandfather and renowned businessman, Masarira. She was a woman of imposing personality who supported the liberation struggle whole heartedly and gave birth to Zanla gallant fighters who never came home at independence but are buried in unknown land somewhere between Eastern Zimbabwe and Mozambique. Neither did she receive a cent for the death of vana mukoma, because we did not know where they died and how they died. She simply gave up after futile attempts to visit respective offices. Or my brothers Runesu and Taperaisu, how I wish you were alive to bury our dear mother. May her soul rest in peace.
