Maine State Family Golf Day DATE: Sunday, June 1st, 2014 TIME: 12 noon - 5 pm WHERE: The following golf courses (so far) will be participating: Boothbay Harbor, Riverside, Woodlands Club, Waterville, Traditions, J.W. Parks, Natanis, Poland Springs, Springbrook, Sanford, The Ledges, Gorham, Purpoodock Club, Toddy Brook, Dunegrass, Nonesuch, Bangor Municipal and Diadema A FUN and FREE Introductory Golf Experience brought to you by the Maine State Golf Association, The First Tee of Maine and The Maine Chapter of The PGA for families in Maine. Come out and play a hole or two and get acclimated to the golf environment, enjoy some time on the putting green, chip a few balls, get introduced to the golf pro and the staff of the facility, have a hot dog or a cool beverage, talk about what you would like to see at the facility, receive information about everything junior golf in Maine - tournaments, leagues, programs, lessons and equipment and just come out and enjoy the day. Some of the activities may include: Free 5 minute lessons from Maine PGA pro’s, Putting Contest, Chipping contest, SNAG course contest, 3 Hole challenge, Golf course treasure hunt, register for a drawing for free golf stuff. Learn where you can get your child enrolled in a junior golf program and have opportunities to learn, play, and compete! More info will be posted as details are worked out.
