Maine Weather Update: A cold front is pushing southward across the state today ... clouds and a few isolated showers, mainly north and west are possible--cooling temperatures with highs 50s north and 60s south. A dome of High Pressure moves in tonight, skies will clear, and wind will die off west to east. With that in mind, expect widespread Freezes in the north and western mountain valleys, while Frost conditions will extend southward to the coastal plains, though not likely on the immediate coast. Overnight lows will be commonly in the 20s north and west, 30s elsewhere. Friday will be a sunny day with light wind, but cool. 50s as a rule statewide with a few outliers. A warming trend will follow for the weekend, with isolated shower activity in the north late on Saturday and statewide showers developing Sunday night into early Monday morning. High temperatures on Saturday will be mainly in the 60s, while many locations will crest above 70 on Sunday before cooling back down again on Monday.
