Follow the link to apply: migrationauthority/jobs/view/maintainabilityoperability-manager/ Description Overview: Reporting to the Operation Preparation Manager (Exshaw Expansion Project), the primary objective of the Maintainability/Operability Manager is to ensure that all Operational Preparation Guidelines (OPG) regarding mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and control systems are implemented during the Exshaw Expansion Project. This encompasses new installations and improvements to existing installations and is inclusive of human resource needs, organizational structure, and equipment factors. Key Responsibilities Participate in the administration and implementation of the safety program by ensuring that all of the safety programs are functioning properly. Prepare all OPG-Maintenance related action plans and ensure adherence to OPG start-up and operational success factors. Conduct operability reviews on equipment design and suppliers & assist in evaluating maintenance performance of the different choices (i.e. reliability & cost) Track construction progress, identify areas of non-compliance to design and company standards, develop a system and process to communicate, manage, and resolve deficiencies, and validate physical receipt of all new pieces of equipment. Review project operating performance to ensure adherence to technical plans, quality standards, and optimum maintenance and production practices. Champion the modifications needed to tie the new equipment into the existing plant. Identify operational needs for the new equipment not covered by the Project scope and champion implementation. Assemble the “fact book” for all new equipment (OEM owner’s manuals, recommended maintenance schedules, as-built drawings, supplier erection manuals, quality assurance documents, and erection journals. Develop the Maintenance Inspection strategy including inspection strategy sheets, job plans & routes for all aspects of newly installed and modified equipment. Develop the Planning strategy including repair job plans for all aspects of newly installed and modified equipment. Develop the Maintenance Execution strategy for newly installed and modified equipment. Identify and procure critical spare parts required to meet reliability, cost and working capital requirements. Participate in the development of forecasts on equipment efficiencies, reliability, and maintenance costs (budgets, monthly maintenance schedules & costs). Ensure that all critical equipment is specified and captured within the maintenance management systems (Maximo, Vibration Monitoring, etc.) Develop start-up commissioning plan books and check lists. Indentify manpower needs and adequately staff the facility prior to project completion. Develop maintenance organization for expanded plant and establish all maintenance training plans for the workforce. Must be a leader in safety. Ensure safe work practices by co-workers, employees and contractors in all areas of work, in his area of responsibility. Compliance with all safety policies, procedures and applicable laws. Report on accidents/incidents assuring follow-up as per the Exshaw procedures. Relationships with others/jobs: Project Team Exshaw salaried and hourly employees and sub-committees. Contractors. Qualification profile: Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or, in the absence of this, a Technologist diploma or trades certificate with significant experience in the industry. Minimum five years experience in cement plant maintenance and 10 years in cement or similar industry Must be proficient in Computerized Maintenance Management skills. Knowledge of modern safety techniques. Knowledge of RCFA Strong Management skills. Strong communication skills. Strong leadership skills. Well organized. Multidimensional thinker. Must be fair and consistent. Ability to formulate and ensure completion of plans. Ability to prioritize and evaluate. Must work well under pressure. Ability to multi-task. Must work well with others.
