Maintenance Electrician Navigate your future We are a significant employer in the Central Queensland region with more than 670 people working across three port precincts, Gladstone, Port Alma and Bundaberg. Our workforce is expected to grow to over 1000 by 2015, as we facilitate development of new port-based industry and commence management of operations at the Wiggins Island Coal Export Terminal (WICET). We are seeking applications from suitably experienced candidates for the permanent position of within our Shiploading Maintenance team for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson. This role is accountable for all aspects of maintenance including routine servicing inspections, breakdown, preventative maintenance, trouble shooting and general electrical overhaul work on plant and equipment to support its safe and efficient operation. Reporting directly to the Shiploading Maintenance Coordinator, key responsibilities include: Undertake electrical maintenance trade services in accordance with: The Electrician Job Model to support the efficient operation of all GPC plant and equipment Known routines, methods and procedures which require the exercise of discretion and judgement. Undertake safe work practices and promptly address any safety issues for hazard minimisation and injury prevention. Work towards achieving financial responsibility through identification of cost saving measures and effective utilisation of resources. It is essential for the job applicant to demonstrate experience in the following selection criteria competencies: Bulk materials handling systems Instrumentation systems and equipment Analog/digital electronic equipment Isolation systems Trade qualification as a certified Electrical Tradesperson is mandatory for this position.
