Maintenance Technician Opening Occupational Summary Responsible for electronic/mechanical repair and maintenance of manufacturing and support equipment in accordance with Arvato specifications, using hand and power tools, precision measuring and testing instruments. Repairs or replaces defective components or subassemblies as needed. Repairs circuit boards, subassemblies and motors as directed by the department management. Performs routine testing, lubrication and preventative maintenance. Will maintain maintenance records, observe all safety regulations and perform other duties as assigned by the department management. Injury preventing process HRC-005 Occupational Responsibility Will perform a variety of duties to set up, maintain and repair production and quality testing of all equipment in CD/DVD manufacturing. Qualifications Aptitudes: • Strong background in both electronic and mechanical maintenance preferred. • Must have general knowledge of electrical practices used in single and multiple phase systems. Must know the proper use of multimeters and oscilloscopes. • Must have working knowledge in the safe use and maintenance of a wide variety of hand and powered shop tools and equipment. • Must be capable of reading electrical, electronic and mechanical blue prints. • Must possess a high level of reasoning power required for troubleshooting. • Must be able to work with little or no direct supervision. • Excellent verbal communication skills required. • Must be team and goal oriented. • Must be analytical and a problem solver. • Must be willing to work flexible hours and overtime as needed. • Must have an exemplary work record. Physical Demands: • Must be able to climb 14 feet high using a ladder; requires good eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity to perform wiring and fine assembly work such as PC boards or trouble shoot circuits; must be able to kneel when adjusting controls on equipment; lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds; work with hazardous tools such as table and band saws, drills presses, etc.; must be able to work with chemicals like rubber revitalizer, cleaning solutions, etc.; must wear eye protection when working with machine shop tools; requires good verbal communication skills to interact with line operators; must be able to walk or stand on the job for 12 hours or more. Must possess visual accuracy. Hours: • Mon-Fri 4pm-12:30pm Pay: • $17 an hour- $21 an hour based on experience.
