Major Announcement: First Base Music and Into Tomorrow are pleased to announce that we have been appointed Artist Manager for the wonderfully multi-talented Justin Heazlewood. For the unwashed Justin is a writer, musician and comedian who you may have seen on TV, heard on the radio and seen in the live performance arena. We are really excited to be working with an artist we have admired for over a decade and what timing. Justin has a new book coming out in a few months that will equally inform, inspire and possibly deter young artists with the realities of being an independent artist in Australia. As well as having an EP which will come out at the same time, Justin has also just finished filing a 3 episode interpretation of a well known TV/historical program.. Titled Crazy Bastards it will be shown on ABC television in the forthcoming months. More interesting stuff in the pipeline so say tuned. He has written for Mess+Noise, The Big Issue and was a senior writer for Frankie. He self-published his first book The Bedroom Philosopher Diaries, earning praise from Neil Gaiman. As The Bedroom Philosopher he has released three albums including the ARIA nominated Songs From The 86 Tram. The single ‘Northcote (So Hungover)’ was a Triple J hit, the award-winning video receiving half a million views online. He won the Director’s Choice award at Melbourne International Comedy Festival and a Green Room award for best production. He has supported a number of iconic performers from Amanda Palmer to Peter Combe. Justin recently created two station IDs for ABC2, wrote and starred in the ABC Fresh Blood series ‘Crazy Bastards’ and released an EP ‘I Don’t Know What I’m Doing With My Life.’ He lives in Melbourne.
