Major Beliefs Day 24- NO Condemnation Romans 8: 1-" There is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus " Courtroom dramas used to be one of the most popular genres of shows on television. There was Law and Order, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, SVU, Matlock, and many more. What pulled the viewer in was the question of whether or not the person on trial was guilty on not. The suspense built all throughout the show until the revelation at the end. It was a classic whodunit with a twist , did the accused do it or not. Would they be condemned or would they go free? The same question applies to every person who has ever lived, will they be condemned or will they go free? Each time the question is asked however its not asked as a fictional drama, it is asked as reality. The Bible tells us," its appointed unto man once to die and then the judgement." We will all stand before the judgement seat of Christ. The question is will we be condemned or not? What is the determining factor? Romans 8:1 tells us the answer, a person who is in Christ will not be condemned. Why? Because they are covered and forgiven by the blood of Jesus, the Lamb of God who takes away sins. He gives those who are in Christ cleansing and forgiveness so that they are not condemned for their sins. So what does it mean to be in Christ? Simply put it means to repent of your sins and place your faith in Jesus. You turn from sin to Jesus and you trust His work on the cross to save you and take your sins away. Once that happens a person is in Christ and thankfully "there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." The drama is taken away and life is restored.
