Majoras Mask New 3DS and me: a story of life, tragedy, and friendship. This morning, I arrived at work around 10am, shortly after news of the New 3DS had surfaced on Facebook. I quickly greeted my boss and ran to my computer, curious to see if preorders were available yet. Sure enough, Gamestop, my old trusted stomping grounds, had the item i required! Before I could think I had added the system to my cart, clicked to check out, and was ready to input my paypal password... but suddenly an error. I tried again, deciding this time to pay by credit card... but again, an error... stating my cart was empty. I repeated the effort, over and over, quickening each time, panic rising in my stomach, until finally the search screen listed the Majoras Mask New 3DS... OUT OF STOCK. NO! I would not settle! I would not fail! I grabbed my phone, texted my associates who worked for the company that had so recently teased me. Surely they were at their stores. Truly they would be able to acquire a preorder for me. but they could not. I called my mother, explained the situation, and she assured me she would make an effort to stop by Gamestop as soon as she could to make an attempt. I calmed down. Went back to work. My mother would not fail me. The day continued... I glanced at Facebook occasionally to see more and more people bragging over their soon to be owned gold and black systems. Jealousy and anger over took me... until finally a phone call. My mother... had failed. Dreams crushed, day ruined, i left work sour and knew only one thing could fill me with even a small amount of joy now... comics. So i go to the comic book store, when my phone showed a notification. It proceeded to take the next five minutes to show the notification. ALAS! Jessa Rose Morgen! Great being of justice, made entirely of cutest wolves and spiders appeared, offering me a link to Best Buy! I could not see the link because... my phone... is uh... shit. But I knew! She had given me that which I wanted most! Hope! But I was in the middle of Fairlawn, on a phone that made Carrot Top look fresh and new. I could not order this on my own. But I have family! I call home. My parents are off from work. My brother is home from college. Someone will answer. No answer. NO! Not again! Not three times in one day will it elude me! Why! Then a thought. Jenny! She has saved me before, and sure enough I called her. Before I could say a word, she knew. She was already on the website. Was already ordering it for me. I hung up, got a message saying it was ordered... and quickly discovered only minutes later... it was out of stock again. THANK YOU JENNY AND JESSA AND MOM AND EVERYONE ELSE THAT HELPED! I will be sure to treasure my New 3DS!!! You all are the best!
