The arrival of Sun was felicitated! Yogurt-flattened rice-mix(Dahi Chuda) It requires calibre, precision and a whole lot of patience to prepare the curd. It requires a lot of timely action. You might think what is the more daunting in making a curd from milk. Yes! It is lot easier in normal temparatures, but to solidify the curd in temperatures dropping to single digit surely requires diligent care. Boiled one and a half litre milk for atleast two days(two times every day) to get a creamy layer. Then adding a spoonful of curd to milk, the whole vessel has to be wrapped in a heat insulating material, so that lactic acid may be acted by the lacter bacterias present in the curd. Everything went well and we all tasted the same. Dahi Chuda is the first meal on the auspicious day for every people residing in Bihar and Orissa!
