Make-Believe I was sitting in a chair and journaling about her. About the deep satisfaction of it all thus far . . . when just as my pen wrote the word chase, my attention was startled by the sound of stampeding hooves. I glanced to my right and through the glass windows I could see a goat running across the length of the yard with another goat in pursuit. I was sitting on a stool and journaling about the conditioned greetings we exchange with one another. How they strike me as a vexation and yet serve as a profound opportunity for practice . . . when just as my pen had written the words Hey John! Whats up? - an acquaintance had come forth to greet me using the exact wording of Hey John! Whats up? - Tongue tied, I could only show her what I had just written as we shared a laugh. I was sitting on a mossy ledge and journaling about my disdain for dogs. How the memories and emotional imprints of being attacked by them haunt me . . . when just as my pen wrote the word fear, I heard growling behind me as an unleashed dog had wandered off-trail and decided to challenge my dominion of the mossy ledge. We stared at one another until the dog retreated in response to chastising calls from its master. Synchronicity. Shamans would say moments such as these signify connection to and awareness of divine flow. John Lennon would say I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together. I will say that it has never been more obvious we are creating all of this. Every. Single. Bit. Gods and Goddesses playing a game of make-believe where we dont acknowledge we are Gods and Goddesses. ~
