Make Public Comments on Draft Regulations: The Department of Health has released draft regulations ( https://health.ny.gov/regulations/medical_marijuana/docs/regulations.pdf ) about the medical marijuana program. They include many concerning provisions that we feel will severely limit patient access. Anyone can make public comments between now and February 14th, and we encourage you all to do so. How to make public comments on the draft medical marijuana regulations. Public comments need to be made in writing or sent via email or regular mail by 2/14/15 to: Katherine Ceroalo DOH Bureau of House Counsel Reg. Affairs Unit, Room 2438 ESP Tower Building Albany, NY 12237 [email protected] Comments can be in several forms: a simple letter raising a few objections, if they are very few. Or a cover letter with attached memo outlining extensive comments, when there are many. Format: Make sure the person submitting has his/her name on all pages (as a header or footer, for example) so DOH doesnt lose track of whose comments they are, should the pages get separated. In order to ensure comments get accurately recorded and (hopefully) reacted to, be sure to address the comments to specific sections of the regs, in order. We suggest this format: List regulation section Concern: State the specific concern with the regulation Solution: Offer recommended solution that addresses the concern raised.
