Make memories with your children. Nothing thats going on in your life is more important than the connection you can make with them right now. You will never get back another random 15 year old Friday night, never get to re-do another weekend bonfire, never get to hear about what they played on recess or hear them read Hop on Pop for the first time, again. That video game, or book, or work project you think is so important right now will mean nothing to you in 10 years. But those missed chances with your children will echo in your heart forever. Hold onto your babies and remember what seems like the small things right now - the way they bite their lip when theyre concentrating on something, the way their hair curls on their neck when theyve been outside playing, the excitement in their eyes when they hear the opening notes of their favorite song. Before you know it, theyll be grown and on their own and thinking they dont need you anymore. You will NEVER get these precious childhood moments back again. Cherish them. Make them count. Let your babies know theyre loved and needed and important to you. Raising your babies is your biggest calling in life. If youve been blessed with the title of Mommy or Daddy, honor that calling by giving it the devotion it deserves.
