Make of this what you will. personally, I think if a bar is undergoing change and needs to cancel future agreements (eg: from 2 or 3 weeks time) this at least gives bands time and opportunity to find alternative gigs. Saying dont bother turning up tonight, tomorrow...doesnt and is frankly shoddy. Change if you must but dont dress this sort of behaviour as beneficial to the acts. Ultimitaely, The Head of Steam have shot themselves in the foot and this too little too late excuse of a statement strikes me as no more than backtracking. I am willing to be proved wrong and look forward to hearing that acts have been paid for cancelled gigs.
