Bucky OHare Info: A heroine rabbit, reminds of Flash Gordon with accent of Clint Eastwood, Bucky OHare help the aniverses S.P.A.C.E. and his companions.....Deadeye Duck, an one eyed duck who used to be a pirate and help the aniverse to defeat the toads and KOMPLEX, Jenny (a female cat who used her kinetic powers and the piolot of the crew), Brusier (a grunt monkey who is a mechanic for the ship), Blinky (an android reminds me of C-3PO but have courage and help the crew) and Willy DuWitt ( a human who helps the crew to stop the toads and KOMPLEX plus go thru Earth and the aniverse). The crew fought the evil Toad Menace and KOMPLEX (a hypnotic computer who brain wash the toads and form an empire plus brain wash them with television). Episodes- 13 Original September 8, 1991-December 1, 1991 Available on DVD/Blu-ray- N/A Review: 1. Story and Characters: Well this show reminds me a mix of Star Wars, Star Trek and Flash Gordon. Its very fun and even though its based from a comic book but its fun and bring the good old days from those movies I mention into this cartoon. I love all the characters because they arent stupid, bad and annoying but fun, energic and entertaining. Wow a toad galactic empire and KOMPLEX is darth sidious. Very smart and trying to take over the aniverse and S.P.A.C.E will do what they can to beat them. Too bad its short lived. Cancelled before they stop them. Oh, well. Thats fan fics are for and if you play the game maybe it can conclude the story. Anyway, its mix because of the cliffhanger. 1/2 2. Writing: I think the writers did their best to keep the characters entertaining and keep the story going even though it last for 13 episodes. Well, they try their best to keep each episode dramatic, humor and a great battle between good and evil. Oh, I give them props for the scripts including Christy Marx, one of my all time favorite writers. I give them 2/2 points for effort. 3. Acting: Well, I would say the voice cast do their best to keep the characters going and bring their personalities to each character trait. The only one grip I have to pick on is the toads. The toads can be very stupid....I mean the henchman. They should be more menacing and not to silly. Thats the only thing I have a problem with but thats a just small problem and it wont hurt a point either. 2/2 4. Animation: AKOM did a great job to keep the cartoon great especially that kick ass intro. Oh I feel like Im watching Star Wars with animals. Each planet background are different and unique to see. The character movements as close to smooth as it can be for an 90s cartoon. I love Toadborg because he is menacing and a kick ass robot and a style of Darth Vader. Bucky OHare also kicks ass with his pistol, his skills and looks that make the character very compelling. Full 2/2 points here. 5. Overall: Although I love the series, Im disappointed that series is very short and need to be finish. Boo on the T.V. executives part but you know for a cult series....Its a fun series and they did menage to save Buckys home planet unfortunately as a cartoon critic, I have to complain.
