Maker, Mediator, Maintainer, Manager and Master - Give me Jesus Night Whisper | CONFIDENCE John 3:31-36 |He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. And what He has seen and heard, that He testifies; and no one receives His testimony. He who has received His testimony has certified that God is true. For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure. The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into His hand. He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him. NKJV. Maker, Mediator, Maintainer, Manager and Master - Give me Jesus To give someone everything, continually and with no thought of taking back, is to imply a total confidence in the same, and also that the care and distribution of that given Plenitude will be with all wisdom, and appropriate extravagance. Yes, to give someone everything is to imply the deepest of loves for them, for such total giving holds nothing back whatsoever. Yes, to give someone everything is to imply absolute love, absolute peace, absolute happiness, absolute commitment and absolute confidence that the instructions of the committal shall be carried out according to the wishes of the giver. Jesus knew that all things had been given to Him by His Father that He might fulfill the wishes of the Father. So, to see Jesus distributing and outworking that committal was to see the Father, and to see Jesus in His appointed office as Head over all, and above all, is to see the Highest authority in the creation of God, for Jesus, by the commission of the Father is the Maker, the Maintainer, the Manager and the Master of all created things. Why? “Because the Father loves the Son.” Now then, as the Father gives the Son as a sacrifice for the sins of sins of the whole World, this gifting of His Son to us must also be seen as a stunning act of commitment to the redemption of the world via a continued outpouring of that very same love, wherewith He loves His Son! Therefore, in the timelessness of the triune God, where there is no beginning and there is no end, an agreement, no doubt brokered by God the Holy Spirit and empowered by the same, ‘a sublime transaction,’ as one commentator puts it, took place between the Father and the Son, and in that transaction, all things were committed into His hands, both for His glory and for the determined, certain and guaranteed good of the whole world! So then, the creation of all things, the revelation of The Word within and to all things, the total satisfaction of righteous judgment to pay for the redemption of all things, the application of salvation to all things, the administration of the same in all ifs facets, together with the consummation and right conclusions of all things which were set in motion at that point of that particular and Divine and sublime transaction, is in Christ, is by Christ, is for Christ and all of it rests upon Christ! Therefore to have Christ is to possess all things! All things past, all things present and all things to come. Indeed, regarding the redeemed, Christ has purchased us with the dowry of His own body and has also given us the seal and sign of the ring of the Holy Spirit, such that, when I recall the words from the Anglican book of common prayer regarding that great solemnization of matrimony where the Groom says to the Bride: “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen,” I know that in a very similar way, in Christ, whether we are in sickness or in health, whether we are in present in happiness or in seemingly perpetual sorrow, we possess all He has and are ourselves, never the less, the focus of His total love and continued and tender care. Why? Because the Father loves the Son, and God so loved the world He gave to us the Son of His love. So then Christian, Jesus your Savior is Lord over-all and all things pertaining to your redemption: its rights, favors and wonders, are all put into the hands of your Jesus, God the Fathers great trustee. Do you see this? You must see this! For I tell you, seeing this, will change your world and no matter what your circumstance, will cosset you in His tender love and care. Listen: Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours: whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come — all are yours. And you are Christs, and Christ is Gods. 1 Corinthians 3:21-23 NKJV Pray: Father, in the morning, when I rise, yes in the morning, when I rise, give me Jesus. You can have all this world, just give me Jesus. Father, when I am alone, yes, when I am alone, give me Jesus and Father, when I come to die, oh when I come to die, Father, give me Jesus. For you can have all this world, but Father, give me Jesus. (African American Spiritual - Fanny Crosby - Fernando Ortega) https://youtube/watch?v=y16oxqTENxs
