Makes me want to sign up!!!!!! How bad are the security problems with HealthCare.gov? I cant put it any better than David Kennedy, head of computer security consulting firm TrustedSec LLC, when he says this (via Reuters): There is a lot of stuff that we are not publicly disclosing because of the criticality of the findings, Kennedy said. We dont want to hurt people. In other words, its so bad that they dont dare go into detail about it in public, because youd basically be extending an open invitation to hackers everywhere to go in and pirate the data. It would be that easy, and the data would be that vulnerable. Kennedy explained that he was able to do his assessment by using software that let him remotely view the sites software, code and architecture without even requiring him to enter credentials. Thats how secure it is. Astounding. By the way, heres how Reuters says the White House is responding to the problem: The Obama administration said on Tuesday the website was safe to use. All is well! If you decide against all rational judgment to use HealthCare.gov, some of the information youll be putting at risk include your name, birthdate, Social Security numbers, e-mail address and of course, your health care information.
