Making It To Heaven: 1)Salvation is by grace: none of us has done - TopicsExpress

Making It To Heaven: 1)Salvation is by grace: none of us has done or will ever do enough to deserve salvation. It is received by the grace of God through faith (Ephesians 2:8-10). But faith is supposed to grow from one level to another (Romans 1:17) and faith can also die if it is not accompanied by works of faith (James 2:17). 2)Death bed salvation: So based on this, if someone confesses Jesus Christ by faith on their death bed, they definitely make it to heaven like the man who confessed him on the cross besides him (Luke 23:39-43), although such people do not enter heaven with a large entrance of great glory or rewards because rewards are based on what your works of faith (Rev 22:12). 3)More factors: Accordingly, if you spend more time on earth after your salvation, God expects you and provides the means for you to grow from one level of faith to faith and therefore your standard of judgment may now vary depending on the level of knowledge you have acquired because “To whom much is given, more shall be required.” (Luke 12:48). So other factors that determine your making it to heaven will include holiness, fruitfulness, answering your calling, repentance and grace.
