Making Sense of Bullying: How to Protect Our Children November 15th 10:00 am - 2:30 pm. Most approaches to bullying assume the behaviour is either learned or due to a lack of social skills. The bully syndrome is not well understood and has deep and instinctive roots. Every act of frustration and aggression from a child does not stem from the bully syndrome and this distinction is important if we are to protect our children. Today’s common approaches to bullying can unknowingly exacerbate instead of remedying, further victimizing the injured.
