Making a final exhaust decision isnt easy! Some may remember my post about me repurchasing my 2005 KLR after it spent 5 years in the arms of another. The muffler (FMF Q4) has a 6 inch long crack along the inside of the muffler, where it cant be seen. That being said, it leaks exhaust and must be replaced. The last owner damaged it while trying to disassemble it in order to repack it. He even took a grinder to one of the screws that bolts the muffler to the down pipe. Anyway, Im pretty much sold on buying another FMF Q4 (noticeable performance improvement over stock, better sounding exhaust note than stock), but I cant help but consider other options. Theres always the Jardine, Big Gun, DG, and the Vance and Hines. Yes, I know that this is an endless debate, and each one has its own merit. Thoughts?
