Making big strides with Shallow Space AI, had to carve out the old movement system and replace with something capable of local avoidance. With the ships able to bob and weave in combat, theres no need for them to sit still anymore so I started writing in routines to get the wing members to disengage with from formation and auto-engage the enemy. Sent shivers down my spine watching that for the first time. Subsystem targeting is now in, with the ships able to move freely in combat they can now shoot out turrets and engines (presently) and Ill be sticking with the Nexus approach to that. The central controller also gets more code now able to co-ordinate ships to attack objectives and it was programmed to attack the friendly installation in this vid, they didnt get very far before I mercilessly mowed them down. https://youtube/watch?v=rUtJLU3MVtQ
