Making myself a cup of coffee and looking at the three piles on the table, I knew Colt had gone through the files and sorted them. Leaning on the kitchen island looking at them and the crumpled paper in the middle of the table it was more interesting to me than the three piles, I just stared at it. The scent of the fresh coffee brought me back to here and now, grabbing my favorite mug and filling it up and putting in the sugar and milk and sit down at the table and look at the piles, taking a sip of it I pulled the first pile to me and looked the names: Civilians: Dr. Preston Stanlee Maya James Gage Jason Jackson Gage Jean Evans That was the civilian pile it made me wonder about what the other two contained and if a quarter of the files had nothing to do with what I was looking for then why where they on the list. No, these four had to mean something, but what, unless, I knew Dr. Stanlee was a shifter could the other three be the same. Had mentioned he did know the female lion shifter, so which one was she? The second pile people of interest: Wyatt Tucker: Interesting dropped off the face of the planet why? Chase O’Connor Steele: flagged for various things by other government agencies. Why? Ethan Quinn: Freelancer contractor but has too many interesting contacts. Why? Jacob Masterson: ex-Military and is flagged. Why? Looking at the second pile and I wonder now what was so interesting about these four there really no information but for the fact they are flagged. Was there a common thread here, but I can’t jump from two plus two to equal five but was it a possibility? The Third pile people who are of most interest: Gavin Adolph: an enforcer, for what and for who? Darren Eads: Colonel in the military. What was he doing here and why is all his files sealed? Very interesting but not sure if he is the one who is truly in charge. Jules Lee: First Lieutenant of the Air Force, again what is she doing here? Files sealed but has decoration for valor so why is she here? Devlin Masterson: Nothing on him and that makes me worry. Why? Looking over the files and seeing the note under the last file folded up like he didn’t want me to find it until the last. Unfolding it and looking at it reading the words which made me wonder why was he back and who was he wanting me to take down because that is the only time he offers to help me tit for tat when it came to Colt.
