Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Sometimes we do hear the men of God say things like you cannot be faithful with your tithe and remain poor It is not their fault to some extend, people do not want to know God for themselves so they depend and live their lives on what their pastors know about God. God said in Malachi, try me and see, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out A BLESSING, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. I love the WORD. The Lord of host said: I will pour you out A BLESSING! A BLESSING!! A BLESSING!!! God did not said I will pour you out A MONEY, he said A BLESSING. The reason why we have got the stupid audacity (which we have not been consumed for it because of His mercies) to question God about why we have no money in our pockets, though we had never failed to pay our tithe, some people will even open their tithe booklet and present it to God is because the Pastors had made this verse so common that when ever the passage is been read, we unconsciously here I WILL POUR YOU OUT A MONEY This is why when we pay our tithe but become poorer cash wise though we never have to pay hospital bills, we dont see Gods provision of good health as A BLESSING for our tithe. With the way Nigeria is, yet boko haram has not come near your dwelling place, is that not A BLESSING of protection been poured out to you because of the tithe? When you write exams and everyone failed yet you happened to be among the few that passed, is that not A BLESSING? When you never have to go hungry, to an extend that you choose the type of food you want to eat, is that not A BLESSING. With Nigeria that you have to know Mr A or Mr B yet you got employed, is that not a blessing? Infact, if you are a NIGERIAN and you are alive today and you are reading this post, is that not A BLESSING? You should stop letting others/men of God describe the personality of God who is your Father to you. Know him by yourself. Stop restraining your heart to the reward if tithing to only money, money, money. Some people, when they give tithe on Sunday, they would want to miraculously get money before Friday and when money did not come, they get angry and forget that they just traveled on official assignment to maiduguri and are back safely. Yes! Money is part of the blessing but not the chief item. I WILL POUR YOU OUT A BLESSING THAT THERE WILL BE NO ROOM TO CONTAIN said the Lord of host Dont give tithe and always think of money in return. Why not relax and count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise you to know how wealthy are you.
